Watching David Meyler commentate over two professionals playing FIFA for the umpteenth time isn’t the most engaging piece of content out there, but there was an interesting moment in the video.
The pair played the new Volta mode in FIFA 20, and that meant that they had to pick their dream five-a-side teams made up exclusively of Wolves players.
However, a twist meant that they couldn’t choose the same players twice, putting a very school playground ‘please don’t pick me last’ feel to the video.
You can see the two teams side by side above, and there are certainly some interesting picks.
Meyler did a poor job of enforcing his own rules as both men opted to choose Rui Patricio as their goalkeeper.
The Spaniard went for the unorthodox pairing of Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves at the back, while Doherty seemingly wanted a bit of pace as he chose Ruben Vinagre and himself.
Running the show in the midfield for Doherty was Romain Saiss, while Traore selected Joao Moutinho.
The Irishman picked Diogo Jota to lead his line.
Our poll asks you to name Traore’s best position, but it’s clear to see where he thinks he’s best utilised as he chooses to play himself up front in the game.
